State Grants Now Available in the DLG Portal
The Kentucky Department for Local Government has transitioned State Grants administration to the DLG Portal. Grant applications, draw requests, Quarterly Performance Reports (QPRs), and Closeout Reports are now completed electronically through the portal.
Current and prospective applicants should use the DLG Portal for all State Grants activities.

The Office of State Grants consists of the Coal Development Branch and the Special Programs Branch.
The Coal Development Branch administers:
Local Government Economic Development Fund (LGEDF) Program (Single-County coal severance grant funds)
Local Government Economic Assistance Fund (LGEAF) Program (coal and mineral severance entitlements)
The Special Programs Branch administers:
- Area Development District Programs
- Flood Control Local Match Participation Program
- Regional Development Agency Assistance Program
- Special Programs and Line Item Allocations
