NSP for Citizens and Homebuyers
How Can Homebuyers Receive Assistance?
Homebuyers cannot receive assistance directly from the Kentucky Department for Local Government nor through HUD. NSP funds can be used to help homebuyers purchase homes, but they must contact a sub-grantee of Kentucky’s NSP funds for application details. The Kentucky NSP is a statewide program, but program design differs from one community to another.
For information on how you may purchase a home with NSP assistance, please contact a Kentucky NSP agency.
Some basic eligibility requirements include:
Eligible property (provide information on NSP homes for sale)
Eligible income (link to income guidelines)
Mandatory eight hours of NSP homebuyer education
Minimum credit score of 640
Minimum homebuyer contribution of $500
NSP Funding Recipients
